Six disciplines.
One standard.
Every project, from a single alcove unit to a full kitchen, passes through the same workshop, the same two pairs of hands, and the same fixed-quote process.
Bespoke kitchens, built around how you actually cook.
We start with how your household uses the space: where the bin lives, who's tall enough to reach the top shelf, whether the dishwasher sits near the sink or the table. Only then do we design the cabinetry around it.
Carcasses are built from birch plywood with solid timber face frames; doors are made in-house from oak, ash or painted MDF. Worktop, sink and appliance integration are coordinated as part of the build.
- ✓ Full design & scaled drawings before manufacture
- ✓ Worktop, sink & appliance coordination
- ✓ Soft-close hardware as standard
Staircases that earn their place as the centrepiece.
Whether a straight flight in a renovated cottage or a statement floating staircase in a new build, every staircase is drawn to building-regulation specification before manufacture, so there are no surprises at building control.
We work in oak, ash and painted softwood, with glass, timber spindle or open-tread balustrade options. Templating is done on site to account for the quirks of an existing building.
- ✓ Building-regs compliant drawings included
- ✓ On-site templating for exact fit
- ✓ Glass, spindle or open-tread balustrade
Every awkward alcove, finally useful.
Sloped ceilings, chimney breasts, bay windows: the rooms off-the-shelf furniture never quite fits. We template the actual space, not the drawing, and build wardrobes, bookcases and home offices that look original to the house.
Internal fit-outs include soft-close drawers, adjustable shelving and concealed storage where it's wanted.
- ✓ Templated to your actual walls, not a spec sheet
- ✓ Adjustable shelving & concealed storage
- ✓ Integrated lighting available
Period-accurate joinery for conservation projects.
Sash and case window renovation, internal doors matched to existing mouldings, and external doors built to current insulation standards while keeping a traditional profile, common requirements across Fife's conservation areas.
We match existing ironmongery, glazing bar profiles and paint specifications, and work alongside conservation officers where required.
- ✓ Matched to existing mouldings & ironmongery
- ✓ Conservation-area experience
- ✓ Modern insulation, traditional profile
Bringing original joinery back to working order.
Sticking sash windows, doors dropped on their hinges, skirting damaged by damp: restoration is often about diagnosing why something failed before fixing it, not just patching the symptom.
Where sections need replacing entirely, we machine new mouldings to match the original profile using router cutters ground specifically for the job.
- ✓ Diagnosis before quote, not guesswork
- ✓ Custom-ground router cutters for exact profile match
- ✓ Original timber saved wherever possible
Fit-outs built off-site, installed with minimal disruption.
Reception desks, retail shelving, office joinery and bar fit-outs for local businesses. Because most of the build happens in our workshop, on-site time and disruption to your trading hours is kept to a minimum.
We've completed commercial projects for cafes, salons and offices across Fife, often working evenings or weekends to avoid closing during business hours.
- ✓ Built off-site to minimise trading disruption
- ✓ Evening & weekend installation available
- ✓ Site liaison included
Common add-ons.
Priced separately, added to any project above.
Materials we work with most.
All timber is sourced from FSC-certified suppliers. We're happy to talk through the trade-offs between species for your project and budget.
Questions we get asked a lot.
If yours isn't answered here, get in touch — we're happy to talk it through before you commit to a site visit.
We typically run 8–14 weeks ahead, depending on project size and time of year. Kitchens and staircases for new builds often need booking 3–6 months out to align with your build schedule.
Fixed price, always. After the survey and design stage you'll receive a detailed quote broken down by element. That price doesn't change unless you request design changes after work has started.
Yes, this is most of our commercial and larger residential work. We're used to coordinating with electricians, plumbers and decorators, and can sequence our work to fit a wider renovation schedule.
Based in Cupar, we regularly work across Fife (St Andrews, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Dunfermline) and into Tayside and Perthshire for larger projects.
Structural integrity of carcasses, frames and joinery construction. If a joint fails or a frame moves due to our workmanship, we repair or replace it at no cost. This excludes normal wear or damage from leaks or impact.
